Prepare yourself for the best homemade Crispy Sesame Beef strips.
What you’ll love: It’s so good, you’ll want some more!
In a mixing bowl toss together the CHALMAR beef strips, salt, pepper and garlic to cover the beef well. Add half of the cornflour and mix to cover all the strips. Cover and set aside.
In the meantime, combine the orange juice, orange zest, soy sauce, broth, sugar, fresh garlic, fresh ginger, sesame oil and chilli in a small pot.
Bring the sauce to boil over a medium heat and allow to simmer until reduced by a third. Remove from the heat and set aside.
In a large sauté pan heat the dripping to a high heat. Quickly toss the CHALMAR beef strips in the remaining corn flour and fry the beef in batches until brown and crispy (about 2-3 minutes).
Once all of the beef is fried, return to the pan on a high heat. Pour over the sauce and allow to just come up to boil.
Sprinkle the sesame seeds and spring onions over and serve immediately.
Serve with egg noodles or steamed jasmine rice.
To make sure your beef is crispy:
– Use corn flour.
