BEEF BOLOGNESE
We collaborated with Kate Liquorish to make this amazingly EASY BOLOGNESE RECIPE using our 90/10 Beef Mince.

Ingredients
- What you'll need:
- 2 Tbsp Olive Oil
- 1 onion (peeled and finely chopped/grated)
- 2 garlic cloves (peeled and finely chopped)
- 2 Carrots (washed and grated)
- 500g Chalmar 90/10 Beef Mince
- 1 tsp dried Oregano
- 2 sticks Fresh Rosemary
- 500ml Passata/Tomato Puree
- 1 cup/250ml hot water mixed with 1 Beef Stock Cube
- 1 Tablespoon of Worcester Sauce
- Salt and Pepper
Instructions
- Method:
- Heat a large saucepan over a medium heat.
- Add olive oil, onion and carrot, and a pinch of salt and fry gently for 5 minutes, or until softened.
- Add the garlic and cook for another minute.
- Turn the heat up and add the mince and another pinch of salt and pepper and fry it, turning often and mushing the pieces of mince to break them apart until it is all cooked and starting to brown. (About 10 minutes)
- Add the stock, passata/tomato puree, Worcester Sauce and herbs, and bring to a simmer.
- Simmer gently with the lid on for 20 minutes, turning every so often.
- Taste and add more salt if necessary.
- Remove the rosemary sticks.
- When ready to cook the pasta, heat a large saucepan of water and add a pinch of salt. Cook according to the packet instructions. Once the pasta is cooked through, drain and add to the pan with the Bolognese sauce.
- Mix well and serve with grated parmesan.
