Ingredients
- What you will need:
- 500g CHALMAR beef stir fry strips
- 2,5ml Salt
- 5ml Pepper
- 5ml Garlic powder
- 150ml Corn flour
- 150ml Orange juice
- 25ml Orange zest
- 200ml Soy sauce
- 2 x 200ml CHALMAR Farm Kitchen bone broth
- 75ml Brown sugar
- 25ml Fresh garlic, crushed
- 12,5ml Fresh ginger, grated
- 50ml Sesame oil
- 10ml Red Chilli, deseeded and finely chopped
- 60ml CHALMAR Farm Kitchen beef dripping
- 15ml Sesame seeds
- 10ml Spring onions, thinly sliced
Instructions
- Method:
- In a mixing bowl toss together the CHALMAR beef strips, salt, pepper and garlic to cover the beef well. Add half of the cornflour and mix to cover all the strips. Cover and set aside.
- In the meantime, combine the orange juice, orange zest, soy sauce, broth, sugar, fresh garlic, fresh ginger, sesame oil and chilli in a small pot.
- Bring the sauce to boil over a medium heat and allow to simmer until reduced by a third. Remove from the heat and set aside.
- In a large saute pan, heat the dripping to a high heat. Quickly toss the beef strips in the remaining corn flour and fry the beef in batches until brown and crispy (about 2-3 minutes).
- Once all of the beef is fried, return to the pan on a high heat. Pour over the sauce and allow to just come up to boil.
- Sprinkle the sesame seeds and spring onions over and serve immediately.
- Serve with egg noodles or steamed jasmine rice.
Notes

To make sure your beef is crispy:
- Use Corn flour.
- Make sure the CHALMAR Farm Kitchen beef dripping is hot before you fry the beef strips.
